The SunTrax Workshops are an identical pair of 28,000 ft2 (2,600 m2) buildings purpose-built to serve as your home base while testing on the track courses.

All-Encompassing Facilities

Each building provides nine workshop bays per building, all of which are approximately 2,800 ft2 (260 m2), which provide a dynamic working environment for engineers, maintenance teams, and staff members. This allows for meaningful collaboration and advancements in both technology and process. The bays are sufficiently sized to accommodate multiple passenger vehicles and single-axle semi-tractor trailers. The climate-controlled Workshop space is divided into two functional areas: the work bay, as well as the accessory office space, which is designed to provide a comfortable and functional work environment with a kitchenette, storage, and restrooms. The bays are interconnected for flexibility such that a customer may access adjacent bays and move between them without leaving the building. Controlled access between abutting bays is configured for user security.

In order to meet hurricane resistance standards as required by Florida Building Code, the workshops are built with impact-resistant windows and doors, as well as reinforced roofing. Workshop bays have been stringently designed to meet the Florida Fire Prevention Code (FFPC). Routine inspection, testing, and maintenance, partnered with digitized monitoring and proactive identification ensure the safety and security of property and patented technology housed inside the workshops.

Secure Storage

Included with each bay is an adjoining 2,400 ft2 (223 m2) mechanical yard for service and storage. Secured by an 8 ft (2.5 m) industrial privacy-screened fencing with access control framework, managed by a centralized, automated system that is programmed by client access type. Stored equipment is both safe and secure given around-the-clock security monitoring.

Energy Systems

The Workshop’s energy systems, designed for current and future needs, produce and deliver energy in a safe, economical, and environmentally friendly way. Two Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations, each on a single-phase 208V circuit, are included in all bays, with the designed capacity to add future Level 3 charging stations to select bays. Resilient, high-speed data connections, power, and pressurized airdrops are present in every bay, along with an isolated electrical power supply to prevent incidental equipment failure or electrical fault from affecting the other work areas.
